How to Get a Professional Tech Pack Made for Your Clothing Brand

Not every founder wants to build their own tech pack — and that is completely fine. If you are focused on growing your brand, handling marketing, managing suppliers, and running the day-to-day, spending hours learning technical drawing software is probably not the best use of your time.

What We Deliver

Every tech pack produced through our service is built to industry standard and includes:

• Technical flat sketches — front, back, and detail views showing construction, seams, topstitching, and hardware

• Bill of Materials (BOM) — a complete list of every fabric, trim, thread, zipper, label, and component needed to produce the garment

• Measurement specifications — a size chart based on your size range, or our standard EU sizing (XS–XL) if you do not have one yet

• Colorway callouts — fabric placements and color references based on your brief

• Labeling and packaging instructions — placement of brand labels, care tags, and size labels

The finished tech pack is delivered as a professional PDF and is also live inside your Specter OS workspace, where your manufacturer can access it directly.

What You Need to Provide

You do not need to be technical to submit a request. Here is what we ask for:

1. A design reference This can be almost anything — a hand-drawn sketch, an AI-generated image, a photo of an existing garment with notes on what you want to change, or a reference from another brand. The more clearly you communicate your vision, the faster we can work.

2. Fabric and material preferences If you have specific fabrics, colours, or trims in mind, include them. If you are not sure yet, that is fine — we will apply reasonable defaults and flag anything that needs a decision from you.

3. Your size range Tell us what sizes you are producing for (for example, XS–XL or S–L). If you have an existing size chart or a reference garment you want us to base measurements on, include that too. If you have nothing, we will apply our standard EU sizing and you can request amendments after.

4. Any specific details or construction notes Anything that matters to you — a particular pocket placement, a specific zip type, a lining preference, branding details — include it in your brief. The more context you give us upfront, the less back-and-forth we need.

Pricing

Tech pack pricing is based on garment complexity:

Each submission includes two rounds of revisions. If your garment falls between categories or you are unsure which applies, you will see the price confirmed before any work begins.

Specter OS Bespoke subscribers receive one complimentary tech pack per month included in their plan, with discounted rates on additional submissions.

Specter OS Signature subscribers receive discounted rates on all submissions, up to a maximum of 3 per month.

Turnaround Time

All tech packs are delivered within 3–7 business days from the point we have everything we need from you. Complex styles or incomplete briefs may take longer, but we will always keep you updated inside the platform.

How to Submit

Tech pack requests are submitted directly inside your Specter OS workspace. If you are not yet on a paid plan, you will need to be on Signature or Bespoke to access the service.

Once your request is submitted, you will be able to track its progress, communicate with us, and receive the finished tech pack — all without leaving the platform.
